MegaSuperSoft is an independent software studio based in Wellington, New Zealand. We build local-first, open-source desktop software, creative tools, and games. We also work with other companies on full-stack development, product design, and AI integration.

What we do

We make two kinds of things:

Software — Open-source, local-first desktop applications and web tools. Your data stays on your machine. Tools for finance, remote desktop, code editing, creative work, and file management.

Games — Original titles. Currently building voxel-based worlds.

Services — We also build software for other people. Full-stack development, UI/UX design, AI integration, and content production on a monthly retainer or per-project. Details at megasupersoft.com/hire.

Your money, visualised. Local-first personal finance for New Zealand. Bank-connected via Akahu, AI-powered with local LLM inference, 20+ themes, and 19 customisable dashboard panels.

GPU-accelerated remote desktop connections. Connect to any machine from anywhere.

NodeUI

Build node graphs, flowcharts, diagrams and share. Runs in the browser — no installs, no accounts.

OpenComp

Open-source image compositor for VFX artists. Node-based compositing without the complexity tax. Currently in development.

NeverEverland

A voxel editor. Build, sculpt, and explore voxel worlds.

Brand guidelines

Naming

• The company name is one word: MegaSuperSoft. Capital M, S, S. No spaces, no hyphens.
• Product names: BruceOS, FFFFinance (four F's, one word), Ghosted, Astral Travel (two words), NodeUI, OpenComp, NeverEverland (one word).

Logo usage

• Use the dark logo on dark backgrounds, light logo on light backgrounds.
• Do not stretch, rotate, recolour, or add effects to the logo.
• Maintain clear space around the logo equal to at least the height of the "MEGA" text.
• The ASCII art wordmark is a core part of the brand identity. Preserve the monospace rendering if reproducing it.

Colour usage

• The green accent (#3BC659 dark / #2a9940 light) is the primary brand colour. Use it for highlights, CTAs, and the "Mega" wordmark.
• The secondary blue (#30A2BB) is for code/technical actions. Don't use it as a primary brand colour.
• The tertiary red (#F32727) is reserved for warnings and errors. Don't use it decoratively.

Typography

• Use Space Grotesk for headings and display text.
• Use Inter for body copy.
• Use JetBrains Mono for code, labels, technical text, and the ASCII art identity.
• All three are available on Google Fonts.
